While hurdles are traditionally made from willow and hazel, there are lots of other plants that can be incorporated. On our garden hurdle making course you'll learn how to choose suitable materials, have a go at harvesting willow and weave a small hurdle (or maybe even 2) to take home using willow harvested here on the nature reserve. Please note that weaving is a physical activity, requiring strength in the hands, some mobility and flexibility to work near the ground. Please do get in touch if you'd like to discuss the suitability of the course for you.
