Join us for an Artist Talk with photographer Phillip Loken and The Twin Hoodoo Muthas, Jeida K. Storey and Saint Xolani, moderated by Rev. Dr. Melva Sampson. Together, they will dive into the making of The Calling: Hoodoo’s Communion with the Ancestors, discussing themes of ritual, spirituality, and Black liberation through art. This intimate conversation offers a rare glimpse into how photography, performance, and ancestral practice converge to create a living narrative of cultural memory and healing.
