“Let’s Light Up The WACC”, a new Thanksgiving Weekend community event in Walker, MN is designed to bring people of all ages together for an afternoon of fun, creativity, and connection. It runs from 2:00 to 5:30 and includes a wide variety of games and activities every member of the family will enjoy.
2-5pm.... Community Canvas Mural & Ginger-board Art Fun
11-5pm.... Open Skate, no hockey from 2:00-3:30
12-5pm.... "Picture Perfect Photo Backdrop" your 2025 holiday photo hot spot
2:30-4pm.... "Neon Disco Bingo", 3 winners per game
2-3:30pm... "Lefsa Ladies" host the Make Your Own Lefsa
2-5pm....The Cozy Bar & Concessions Open
2-4pm.... "Tickets to Win It", 5 crazy challenges will earn tickets that will give you multiple chances to enter a drawing for Cash Prizes, $300 for kids winner and $300 adult winner
3-4pm.... Karaoke & Open Mic, "Sounds of Season"
4-5pm.... Survey Says! A family fued-like game show
5:00.... GRAND PRIZE General DRAWING- $500, & "TICKETS TO WIN IT" DRAWING-$300 YOUTH (5-15) & $300 ADULT (16 & UP). Must be present to win.
It’s the perfect excuse to get out of the house to create those holiday memories. It’s good clean family fun.
This multi-purpose event not only supports the WACC but also helps energize our entire community by drawing visitors and locals to downtown Walker to shop, dine, and explore local businesses before and after the WACC festivities. By hosting the event at the WACC, we’re also showcasing the versatility and value of this vital community hub — a warm, welcoming, and user-friendly space where people gather for recreation, wellness, celebration, and togetherness year-round.
This event will also attract attendees who may be inspired to give back and support the future of the WACC, especially as we launch our ‘Double the Light’ Matching Campaign. Every dollar given will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact — and the brightness — of each gift.
