- **Event Description**: We would like to extend an invitation to anyone and everyone to join us for a special day of fundraising, fellowship and BASKETBALL! If you’re interested in playing, all you need to do is register and show up ready to play. We play 5 on 5 pickup basketball and build teams the day of the tournament (teams are created with fairness and fun in mind). You don’t have to be an elite basketball player to play in the Memorial; all skill levels are welcomed and encouraged to participate (we usually put you on teams with people you know). Teams will be posted 10 minutes before the first game.

For those of you who aren’t basketball players and are not interested in playing, we still would love to have you: cheering, watching, catching up with old friends and/or volunteering – come say hello!

BACKGROUND
The Morrison Memorial has raised over $130,000 for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society MN Chapter. This year’s event will be on Saturday, April 18th, with games starting at NOON. All proceeds this year will go to Walker Area Foundation to support a dear family friend, Bri Bieloh.

HISTORY
The Morrison Classic started 1996, when our father, Jim Morrison, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. With the hope to help raise funds for medical costs combined with our father’s love of competition and basketball, the Morrison Classic pickup basketball tournament was created. The mission was and is to help those in need through community involvement and the game of basketball. 

We are proud to be a part of the Walker community and could not have continued this great tradition without the support of so many individuals and businesses in the Walker area. Thanks to all who attended and donated over the years, and we hope to have your continued support this year!

REGISTRATION, YOUTH PROGRAM and DAY OF INFO
Adult Entry - $30 Donation (Includes T-Shirt) - Please contact Randall Morrison (randall.morrison@fnbwalker.com) or Joe Morrison (jmorrison6@gmail.com) for registration - forms will also be available at the WHA Community Education Office. We will take registrations up until game-time on Saturday (4/18), but early registration helps us select EVEN teams. PLEASE INVITE anyone and everyone you think would like to come.
The gym will be available to warm-up/shoot around at 11:00 am and there will be locker rooms and basketballs available for use. Also, due to much feedback and many sore bodies, we plan on wrapping things up around 3PM.
Youth Info (1st-8th Grades)
Youth Entry - $10.00 (Includes T-Shirt) – Our Youth session is full of great basketball competitions (Dribble King, Hot-Shot, Lightning and a final game of 5 on 5 basketball). The youth program starts at 10:00A.M. and there will be plenty of basketballs and prizes for all.
