- **Event Description**: Join us for a week of hands-on volunteering as we spruce up the shelter for Earth Day! We’re looking for volunteers to help with a variety of outdoor and facility projects to keep HSW looking its best for our animals and community.

Location: Humane Society of Walden, 2489 Albany Post Road, Walden, NY
Dates: April 19 – April 25 (multiple days available)
Flexible shifts: Morning and afternoon time slots available throughout the week 

Volunteer Tasks May Include: Dog park clean-up; Catio cleaning (sweeping & power washing); Cleaning outdoor dog kennels; General grounds maintenance (gardens, planters, etc.); Or helping wherever it’s needed most.

What to Know Before You Arrive:

We’ll have basic tools on hand, including rakes and shovels. If you prefer to work with gloves, please bring a pair from home. You’re also welcome to bring any additional tools that may help with the clean-up. For your safety and comfort, we recommend wearing closed-toe shoes and long pants. Whether you can join us for a couple of hours or a full shift, your help will make a huge difference for the animals in our care.
