Pump House Music Works is proud to announce as a kick off to 2026, a special performance by the esteemed Shawnn Monteiro Quintet on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 6:00 PM. This exclusive engagement will feature Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame inductee and "jazz chanteuse extraordinaire" Shawnn Monteiro, showcasing her legacy jazz vocals alongside a stellar lineup of New England's top jazz musicians.

Hailed for her artistry crafted in the mold of jazz greats like Sarah Vaughan and Nancy Wilson, Ms. Monteiro brings a wealth of experience, having shared the stage with icons such as Clark Terry, Lionel Hampton, and Ray Brown. She will be joined by her dynamic quintet, including frequent collaborators:

    •    Dan Moretti fellow Rhode Island Music hall of fame inductee on saxophone, a fellow RI legend

    •    Matt DeChamplain on piano, a highly regarded pianist and regular member of her touring group.

    •    Steve Langone on drums, known for his versatile and dynamic percussive support and jazz sense.

    •    Keala Kaumeheiwa on bass, a formidable presence on the jazz scene.

The event promises an evening of captivating jazz standards and exceptional musicianship in the intimate and cozy atmosphere of The Pumphouse Music Works. The venue, a beloved local non-profit organization dedicated to live music and music education, offers a full bar and a unique, supportive environment for artists and audiences alike.
