Description

YPO, one of the UK’s leading public sector buying organisations, is launching a new service for suppliers to help improve the procurement process. Joining forces with ‘the bid toolkit’, an online tendering guide and training platform, YPO will provide engagement, tools and training opportunities to help suppliers when bidding for public sector contracts. The partnership brings together cutting-edge private sector bidding best practice with procurement specialist insights, to help with the often quite daunting prospect of public sector tendering.  

As part of this initiative we are offering half day Bidding Masterclasses for suppliers of goods, equipment and materials to the Public Sector. The session will be led by Jeremy Brim of the bid toolkit team and accompanied by procurement experts from YPO. 

Course Outline

The half day session will cover in detail best practice techniques in submitting successfull bid submissions. It will cover the roles and responsibilities of your bid team members and a deep dive into each phase of the bid lifecycle, including:


Bid Decisions – making robust collaborative decisions on whether you can win, how you will win, and making the commitment of the right resources.

Win Strategy and Kick Off - developing your proposition, win themes and commercial strategy and then kicking off the development of content, with everyone aligned

Solution and Story - designing your product and service delivery model and using storyboarding to develop winning responses

Write and Price - further developing the content outlined in the storyboards into compelling responses and ensuring you are on track to deliver a winning bid to your client

Review and Finalise – reviewing and improving your document to take it from a good to great

Sign off and Submit – making sure you achieve appropriate and diligent sign off of your proposals internally and safely prepare your bid submission for delivery


 

The event begins promptly at 10am. Please arrive for 9:30am when refreshments and pastries will be served. Lunch will be provided during the day.
