Stand With Striking National Coal Mining Museum Workers – Wakefield Demo
Workers at the National Coal Mining Museum for England (NCMME) have been on strike for weeks, fighting for fair pay and respect.
While the museum pushes ahead with events and hires extra security, it is still refusing to honour their pay offer and negotiate properly with UNISON. The people who keep our mining heritage alive deserve better than low pay and union-busting tactics.
On Saturday 6 December, 12.30pm outside Wakefield Cathedral, we’re bringing the dispute from the pit gates into the city centre.
📢 Join us to say:
Honour the pay offer – now
Sit down and negotiate with UNISON
Respect the picket line and the workers who make the museum
Bring union banners, placards, friends, family and workmates. Let’s show NCMME management that Wakefield stands firmly with the strikers.
✊ Organised by UNISON Wakefield District Branch – all trade unionists, community groups and supporters welcome.
