Just Love Band:

An original, collaborative vocally driven jazz-folk-rock inspired group from South County Rhode Island, providing a sound that is eclectic an original, vocally driven jazzy folk-rock collaborative from South County Rhode Island, providing a sound that is eclectic and upbeat.

The band emerged from a serendipitous meeting in January 2023 at Matt Fraza’s Wednesday night Open Mic Pump House. Barbi Beyer, the songwriter, began crafting these songs in 2015 after collaborating briefly with a musician seeking a lyricist. Though that partnership was short-lived, his encouragement sparked a creative flame, giving birth to many more songs. After attempts to record and assemble a band, the project languished until Barbi discovered the Pump House’s open mic early in 2023, where she met a skilled lead guitarist eager to bring her songs to life. Thus, Just Love Band was born.

Following a transitional period, Barbi met Raruekchon Piyachotsahulchai (Zang), a talented Thai jazz performance drummer in early 2024 at the Wednesday open mic, reigniting the project's momentum. Barbi then reconnected with Erik Silva, a gifted guitar/bass player and member of the local band The Full Fill (and former music student of Barbi’s when he was 3!) bringing their early meeting full circle. Finally, Christian Cerrone, lead guitarist of the acclaimed funk band “Guess Method,” joined the ensemble in spring 2024. With Christian’s outstanding lead guitar playing, the band reached new heights, making their Pumphouse performance a joyful testament to musical collaboration.”
