Join local teacher Brian Clopper and learn the tricks to writing engaging first chapters as well as diving into his latest novel about grim reapers--When Death Came For Ernst Wilco and 101 First Chapters

Ernst Wilco is not exactly leading his best life nor is he interested in being remotely self-actualized. The guy doesn’t give two figs about anyone other than himself. A chance encounter with an agent of Death sets him on the path to joining the Grim Reaper Corps whether he truly wants to or not.

Each chapter in 101 First Chapters is a doorway to a new world, encompassing imaginative tales about general fantasy, time travel, multiversal adventures, superheroes, teens discovering their magical powers, talking animals, and meta-fiction. The beauty of this collection lies in its ability to cater to a wide range of tastes, ensuring that there's something for every reader.

Brian Clopper is a 5th grade teacher in North Carolina whose comic book work has garnered praise from the likes of Lincoln Child, Mark Crilley and Piers Anthony. He has done numerous author talks on brainstorming with odd pairings, changing expectations and randomizing through both public schools and libraries.

With each book, he wants to create a vibrant fantasy world with memorable characters both human and not.
