Kia ora e te whānau,
Our fantastic Matariki Week Celebration is taking place in week 11 of this term. The children will be participating in hands-on activities in the afternoons from Monday to Thursday. 

Whānau are warmly invited to an open morning; see details below: 

Date: Friday 3 July 2026

Part 1: 6.30 am Meet at the school courts for a Hautapu dawn ceremony. Karakia and waiata will be led by Whaea Alicia, Matua Raniera, our Māori whānau and our Kapa Haka group. 

Part 2: 7.15 am Shared breakfast (kai) in kāinga spaces. Please bring a plate of finger food to share (pancakes, fruit, savoury muffins, etc). We all must have a little something to eat after the ceremony.

Part 3 - 8.15 am Celebration of children’s learning. Feel free to walk around all the learning spaces. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to celebrate your child’s learning and admire our Matariki displays.
