Another year has somehow vanished quicker than a jandal in the surf… which is ironic, because if anyone has been preaching “slow down, bro” since day one, it’s Seaside Sloths. But here we are again — 365 days gone in the blink of a sluggish, slightly confused eye.
To mark the occasion, the Sloths are dragging their sandy selves out of the dunes and onto Long Beach — a venue so appropriately named it almost feels like destiny. Some say this is the natural habitat of a Seaside Sloth. Others claim the Sloths only appear when the tides, moon cycles and bar tabs align. All we know is they’re preparing a sonic experience large enough to usher in the new year, and weird enough to make you question if time really is real.
Expect bass that rolls in like a slow swell, guitar licks warmer than a Kāpiti sunset, and grooves that may cause involuntary swaying — possibly from dancing, possibly from the humidity, possibly from an existential moment about how fast 2025 disappeared.
So bring your mates, your jandals, your best “I’m not ready for another year but here we go” attitude — and join us on the Long Beach shoreline as we ring in a new year the only way we know how!
