Summary
As much as we would like to believe we make decisions on the basis of data, human beings are wired to navigate the world through narrative. In these sessions, Mark explores why story remains our most powerful organising force, drawing on insights from biology and psychology as well as lived experience. Through moving accounts from communities as diverse as Penzance, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Togo, he demonstrates how narrative shapes attention, meaning and behaviour far more than we often recognise.

Mark Preston is the Co-Founder of the Freedom and Justice Partnership and the Founder of Start Bay Enterprises. He is also a member of the board of the Church Army in the UK and Ireland.
