Get ready to dive into queen rearing and bee breeding with Cory Stevens, owner of Stevens Bee Company and creator of the famous “Missouri Mite Hunters” VSH bees. From his 27-acre farm in Bloomfield, Missouri, Cory has dedicated his career to raising resilient queens and improving honey bee genetics.

A Master Beekeeper and past president of the Missouri State Beekeepers Association, Cory will share his expertise on breeding better bees for Texas at the 2025 Texas Beekeepers Annual Convention. Don’t miss it!

We are thrilled to welcome Sue Cobey, an internationally recognized expert in honey bee breeding and queen production, to the 2025 Texas Beekeepers Annual Convention! Sue is best known for developing the New World Carniolan Closed Population Breeding Program, now in its 39th generation, and for training beekeepers and researchers worldwide in improving honey bee genetics.
