Und deshalb sicherten und sichern sich Stars wie Eric Burdon, John Mayall, David Crosby, Ralph McTell, Louisiana Red und Alexis Korner – der Godfather der britischen Blues-Szene – seine musikalischen Dienste.

Im Songwriting wurde Millns durch Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell und Tim Hardin beeinflusst, musikalisch gibt er auch Ray Charles als großen Einfluss an.
