Helicon was founded by brothers John-Paul and Gary Hughes in East Kilbride, Glasgow, Scotland.

They are known for their intense, psychedelic live performances.

Their sound blends psychedelia, electronica, guitars, and sitars with a spirit of countercultural experimentation.

Since signing with the legendary Fuzz Club label in 2017, Helicon's music has been played on BBC Radio 6 Music,

and they boast an impressive list of collaborations with Tony Doogan (Mogwai / Delgados / Belle & Sebastian / David Byrne),

Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3 / The Brian Jonestown Massacre / Spiritualized / Dead Skeletons), and Mark Gardener (Ride).

Their fourth studio album, aptly titled "ARISE," is a collaboration with LA-based artist and DJ AL Lover.

It was released on Fuzz Club on February 13, 2026.

Helicon has been touring regularly in the UK/EU over the last 5-6 years, playing sold-out shows in Glasgow, London,
Manchester, Paris, and Berlin, including impressive performances at major festivals such as Fuzz Club Eindhoven,
Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia, Manchester Psych Fest, Edinburgh Psych Fest, Stellar Swamp Fest, and Kelburn Garden Party.

ACID ROOSTER

With a sound that evokes the spirit of the German Krautrock and Psych-Rock pioneers, the three Leipzig-based musicians celebrate suspenseful, free-thinking instrumental music on their partly written and partly improvised albums. This music often develops a trance-like pull and, gradually building, culminates in breathtaking climaxes.                           
They succeed in interpreting the psychedelic legacy in a contemporary way in an unpretentious manner, while retaining the freedom to touch upon related genres such as space rock, drone, garage, or cosmic music, always remaining authentic and stylistically confident.
