Die Dropkick Murphys sind stolz darauf, Bostons Rock’n’Roll-Underdogs zu bleiben, die zu Champions wurden. Seit 1996 haben die Jungs die Art von Musik gemacht, die man in voll besetzten Stadien singen sollte. This Machine Still Kills Fascists – und ihr Nachfolgealbum Okemah Rising – hauchen größtenteils unveröffentlichten Texten des legendären Woody Guthrie musikalisches Leben ein, die von Woodys Tochter Nora Guthrie für die Band zusammengestellt wurden.
