The Village of Voorheesville continues moving forward with plans for 18 S Main St, the former Phillips Hardware store. As we prepare for the nation’s America250 celebration, this project offers a timely opportunity to honor our own local history and bring neighbors together around what could become a lively centerpiece of the Main Street Business District. Though the building has changed over time, it remains an important link to Voorheesville’s past.

At the Village’s November 2025 community meeting, residents shared thoughtful ideas for how a restored 18 South Main could support community life. Over the past year, the Village has been exploring options that would allow the space to become a welcoming setting for community gatherings, celebrations, and local connections. 

A follow up community meeting will be held on July 8, 2026, to revisit ideas from last fall, share progress, and consider how this historic property can help bring people together as Voorheesville celebrates this milestone year.
