Celebrate the Winter Solstice—the shortest day of the year—with a refreshing 3 mile hike through the peaceful winter landscape of Black Run Preserve.
As the sun reaches its lowest arc in the sky, we’ll walk the quiet trails, soaking in the crisp air and the still beauty of the Pine Barrens in winter. Along the way, our Ambassadors will share seasonal insights, and discuss how plants and animals adapt to the colder, darker days.
This is a perfect way to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with nature during this time of transformation and renewal.
Our trails have hard and soft sand, slight elevations, roots, and stumps and some wet areas. Porta Potty is available at the beginning and end of hike.
