- **Event Description**: Join us at 6 pm at our Kettle Run Road East Trailhead for a 1–2 mile Mystery Halloween Hike through the forest! Along the way, you’ll encounter some spooky creatures and plenty of Halloween fun.

Our trails include hard and soft sand, slight elevations, roots, stumps, and some wet areas, so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Bug spray and water are also recommended. A porta-potty will be available at the beginning and end of the hike.

Come enjoy a fun, spooky adventure in the woods! Costumes are welcome! We hope to see you there!

DATE: Sunday, October 25, 2026
TIME: 6:00 - 7:00 pm (Meet at the welcome table at 5:45 pm to check in.)
WHERE TO MEET: Kettle Run Road East Trailhead Entrance. This is the main trailhead for Black Run Preserve.
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Hiking boots, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended.
DETAILS: This is a social/informational hike to familiarize participants with the trails of the Black Run Preserve and the Friends of the Black Run Preserve community.
