Get inspired by the art on view in our galleries, and join artist Sue Hill to design a mosaic garden stone that brings color and character to your landscape, garden, or patio.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of cutting, assembling, and finishing repurposed glass and ceramics with guidance from an experienced teaching artist.
Working with antique, vintage, and recovered materials, this eco-conscious class fosters a minimal-waste studio environment. Together, we’ll explore texture, light, contrast, and color while reflecting on the creative potential of giving materials a second life through artmaking.
There will be a 30-minute lunch break, so please bring along a bagged lunch.
All students must sign a liability waiver to be turned in at the start of the program. Additional copies will be provided on-site.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sue Hill is a self-taught stained-glass artist with 14 years of experience transforming glass into vibrant, light-filled works of art. Dedicated to sustainable practices, she incorporates antique, vintage, repurposed, and recovered glass and materials into all of her work.
With a commitment to minimizing waste, Hill develops classes that utilize surplus materials and donates remnants, including glass dust from her grinder, to local artists. She also sponsors fundraising workshops for nonprofit organizations that support people, animals, wildlife, and environmental initiatives.
Guided by the belief that every material holds a story, Hill finds beauty in the broken and gives discarded pieces new life, creating works that inspire reflection, connection, and renewal.
