This session is designed to help you release tension and calm your nervous system through guided stillness and breathwork.The practice of Yin holds poses for longer periods of time than other forms of yoga. It helps to build emotional awareness in the body as well as resilience and perseverance. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced practice where floor based poses are held for 3 to 5 minutes. By staying still and using props for support, we move past the muscles to release deep tension in the connective tissues and fascia. Yin is a wonderful complement to traditional exercise and other yoga practices. Yin leaves you feeling stretched and relaxed.New to Interwoven events with The Station? Welcome! Please note that our Mindfulness Facilitator, Laurie Terry, will be in contact with you to share our mission and confirm your Special Operations Forces affiliation.Sunday, May 3, 20264:00 - 4:10 PM: Arrival and Check In4:10 - 5:45 PM: Welcome, Grounding, and Practice5:45 - 6:00 PM: Connection and RefreshmentsEvent Details:Yoga mats will be provided; however, you are welcome to bring your own.Bring a water bottle.No experience is necessary.All materials will be provided.This is a first come first serve event with a maximum capacity of 15 participants.
