We will be at First landing state park in VB on July 11th from 9am-whenever you feel like leaving

To start our event- We will hike 7+ miles in the trails then head across the street to the Bay beach!! 

Pace of hike 18-20mins/mile 

Parking is $7 on weekdays and *$10 on weekends(this will be the fee since it’s a Saturday) 

Bring the fur babies as pets are aloud on the trails & the beach 

When arriving, please head all the way to the visitors center and park. We will all meet up by the drink machines(will be picnic tables)(to the right of the visitors entrance) 

-We will start our hike by following the “Cape Henry trail” 
-We will take that all the way down to 64th street
-will turn right and walk down to hop onto the 
“Long creek trail”- we will follow this trail until we reach “White hill lake trail” where we will turn left
-turning left continues “long creek trail”
Will follow that until “Fox Run Trail” , which will then loop us back to the parking lot!! 

At any time should anyone feel that need to rest(there are benches along the trails) or turn back. Please do so, if it’s to long of a hike, and you turn around(take a connecting loop) please head back to the front(once we get back to the parking lot-we will regroup) 

After regrouping, we will then drive across the street to the beach parking lot(it is going to be very hot outside-so please bring sunscreen) 

We will all gather at the beach and walk to a spot(where we can all fit) and pitch up our own areas(Umbrellas,towels,music,chairs,ect.) and then we can all have a good time in the water. 

Timing is 9:00am-we will wait til 9:10 to give people some time to show up, then we will start

If you show up after we have started walking(just follow the trails listed above and you will find us) 

-Please bring bug spray
-Sunscreen 
-PLENTY of water
-Dress accordingly to the weather(it is summer and will be hot)
