2025 Regional Workforce CTE Forum

Help us celebrate our third year committed to the Workforce Career and Technical Education Forums! We focus on giving our soon-to-be high school graduates more opportunities to understand and choose a career for their futures! The Forum builds relationships by emphasizing partnerships between businesses, nonprofits, our high school CTE administrators, colleges/universities, economic development/government, and community leaders.

You will...

· Receive information from Virginia Department of Education Office of Career and Technology Education (CTE) specialists and others concerning the six HQWBL opportunities which support our high school students' CTE curriculum.

· Networking with 125 or more attendees, enjoy a continental breakfast, and hear brief presentations addressing the economic impact in our region and workforce.

· Hear from a panel of leaders and young workers with best practices for successful programs.

· Participate in breakout sessions for networking, brainstorming, and additional learning.

Once students actively participate in an experience at your worksite, they become excited, realizing “I could do this!”

Who should attend? You, if you have a passion for helping students through job shadowing, internships, mentoring and other activities. You will join small business owners, large organization workforce or HR professionals, workforce development professionals, recruiters, college and university leaders and educators, nonprofit leaders and others to see how you can make a difference! We encourage each city school system CTE Supervisor or Director to attend.

Our region needs a strong workforce in just about every industry (new energies and manufacturing, transportation and technology, early child care, medical, hospitality, maritime, and construction, to name a few). Let's do this!
