- **Event Description**: Come enjoy a wonderful nostalgic holiday parade in downtown Vinton! Parade begins at 6pm and can be watched along 4th Street in downtown Vinton. 
Vinton Unlimited, the chamber of commerce, will be handing out free hot cocoa (while supplies last). As always, the local veterans will be leading our parade. Santa will also be arriving at the end of the parade on one of the big firetrucks. He will then greet children inside the courthouse. 
Downtown stores will be open this evening until 7pm for your holiday shopping. 
Then be sure to stay in town after the parade and enjoy some great food and drinks at one of the downtown establishments like H2 Pizza, Red Cedar Wine Bar, or Pizza Ranch. The local Lions Club will also be holding a chili supper at the fire station on 2nd Street. There's also more dining available a few blocks northwest of downtown at Beast & Bird BBQ, Tequileros Mexican Restaurant, Tootsie's Ice Cream & More, and of course McDonald's! (All these establishments are proud members of Vinton Unlimited!)
Come experience the magic of Christmas in this small-town Americana-community of Vinton! The Annual Veterans Holiday Lighted Parade, Thursday, November 20th at 6pm!
***If you would like to be in the parade, no registration or fee needed. Line up will begin at 5:30pm on 6th Street to the east & south of Wesley United Methodist Church. No pre-registration is necessary. Please no Santas since he will already be visiting from the North Pole! Theme is Christmas or patriotic.***
