# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Non-partisan GOTV postcarding
- **Event Start and End Date**: Thu, 22 Oct, 2026 at 04:30 pm – Thu, 22 Oct, 2026 at 06:30 pm (-04:00)
- **Event Description**: In our biblical texts, rabbinic writings and modern day commentary, along with tradition and practice throughout Jewish history, civic participation and especially voting is clearly presented as a Jewish issue, even considered a mitzvah.

In the Talmud, Rabbi Yitzhak taught that "A ruler is not to be appointed unless the community is first consulted" (Babylonian Talmud Berachot 55a). Join us at Beth Israel this Thursday for a non-partisan postcarding gathering from 4:30 - 6:30pm.

We've got 100 cards to address and stamp, encouraging voters to vote! Join us for an easy and fun way to get involved!!

Bring some can foods for our food drive and do a double mitzvah!

Hope to see you Thursday!
Rabbi Abby
