If you need BLS training in 2025 as an admission or continuation requirement for your health care program, the information below will help you to meet that need.Students are required to complete the American Heart Association online portion of HeartCode BLS. This site is located at www.onlineaha.org. On the left under the courses tab, click “BLS”, then select “Heartcode BLS Online”. The cost for this course is $37.00 and the provider manual is included. You will be given two attempts to complete the test on each $37.00 fee. After completing the online test, you MUST complete the course evaluation to get your completion certificate. Print the completion certificate and bring it to the in-person skills check session. You will not be allowed to take the skills check session without this certificate. The skills check session will last approximately 2 hours and cost $30.00. During this time, you will have an opportunity to practice the skills learned in the online course before a 1:1 skills check-off with an instructor. The BLS card is good for 2 years.For individuals who prefer classroom-based courses, Good Samaritan offers these monthly, please contact npdsstaff@gshvin.org to schedule, the cost of an in-person class is $60.00, and class size is limited. Students must have an AHA BLS provider manual for this course.
