The St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra invites composers from around the world to participate in an international composer competition dedicated to the creation and promotion of new works for chamber orchestra.

The aim of the competition is to discover talented composers, establish creative connections, and support the professional development of emerging artists by presenting their music in a professional performance setting.

📌 Competition requirements:

• Age: 18–40
• Duration of the composition: 5–10 minutes
• Instrumentation – string orchestra
(6 – I violins, 5 – II violins, 3 – violas, 3 – cellos, 1 – double bass)

• Works composed or performed in 2024–2026 are eligible
• Works that have participated in other competitions are not eligible

📩 Submission of applications:

Each participant may submit up to 3 works.

Required materials:
• score and parts (PDF, anonymous)
• demo recording of the work (MP3)
• a separate Word document including:
– full name
– email address, phone number
– CV
– description of the work

🎻 Final

Selected composers’ works will be performed by the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, and the laureates’ works will also be featured in the orchestra’s 2026–2027 concert season.
