DOT Academy Tactical Pistol Intro exists to make sure that doesn't happen to you.
This is the first course in DOT Academy's Tactical Pistol track and it's built for people who want to do this properly from day one. No shortcuts. No fluff. No wasted reps.
In 4 hours, you will:
-Understand your weapon, how it functions and how to maintain it.
-Apply safety doctrine correctly.
-Eliminate flinching and hitting low.
-Build accurate fire at multiple distances with real, repeatable control.
-Master the two non-negotiable fundamentals (wall + reset) of every shot you'll ever take.
-Apply cadence shooting principles from your very first session.
How the session runs:
Every course has limited number of participants with 2/3 instructors simultaneously on the range. You are never just a face in a crowd. Every drill is observed, every error is corrected, every rep counts.
The progression is deliberate:
-Weapon mechanics & maintenance
-Safety doctrine
-Stance & positioning
-Dominant eye assessment
-Accurate fire fundamentals
-Tactical shooting principles
-Flinching elimination
-Distance variations
-Cadence shooting.
Theory is kept tight. You are on the range, doing the work, from the first hour.
Who this is for:

No prior shooting experience required. A safety screening is conducted before live fire begins. Students who cannot meet basic safety standards (or violate safety rules) will not continue, this protects everyone on the range and keeps the training standard high.
