?? On February 24th, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine, starting the largest and deadliest war in Europe since World War II. For more than 4 years the war rages on and the tensions in NATO’s eastern flank rise as military powers grow and discourse in the media shows signs of an uncertain future.

As citizens it is our duty to be prepared for any and all situations, regarding safety, personal and collective well-being. Based on this idea, we invite you to participate in a discussion about the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

A deeply personal discussion with young Ukrainians who had to live through and experience the beginning of the war. What was it like, were there tensions right before major actions, how did day X begin and what was the immediate aftermath from a civilian perspective. These are but a few questions that we will touch upon in the discussion.

We invite you to join our discussion on the 10th of March, 18.00, in the address: Saulėtekio ave. 9, „Law space“. A quite symbolic day, right before 11th of March, when we regained our independence.

Let us support Ukraine and learn from their experiences.

?? 2022 m. vasario 24 d. Rusija įsiveržė į Ukrainą ir pradėjo didžiausią bei kruviniausią karą Europoje nuo Antrojo pasaulinio karo laikų. Jau daugiau nei ketverius metus karas tęsiasi, o įtampa NATO rytiniame flange auga stiprėjant karinėms pajėgoms ir viešojoje erdvėje vis dažniau skambant kalboms apie neapibrėžtą ateitį. Kaip piliečiai, turime būti pasirengę įvairioms situacijoms – rūpintis savo ir bendruomenės saugumu bei gerove.

Kviečiame jus dalyvauti diskusijoje apie karo Ukrainoje pradžią. Tai bus jautrus ir asmeniškas pokalbis su jaunais ukrainiečiais, kuriems teko išgyventi ir patirti pirmąsias karo dienas. Kokia buvo atmosfera prieš prasidedant plataus masto veiksmams? Ar buvo jaučiama įtampa? Kaip atrodė X diena ir koks buvo pirmasis civilių kasdienybės pokytis? Tai tik keletas klausimų, kuriuos aptarsime diskusijos metu.
