Kviečiame į vokalinį performansą "Beta-endorfinas" Liepkalnio vandens saugykloje, kur erdvę užpildys aidintys choristų balsai.

Performansas tyrinėja ryšio kūrimą ir procesus, kurie vyksta kūne dainuojant bei judant kartu. β-endorfinas - centrinės ir periferinės nervų sistemos neuronuose gaminamas cheminis junginys, kuris siejamas su motinos ir kūdikio ryšiu, romantiniais santykiais, prisilietimu, bet taip pat jis išsiskiria sinchroninių veiklų metu, tokių kaip dainavimas, judėjimas ar kvėpavimas kartu. Šis neuromediatorius (ir hormonas), pradėjęs veikti kūne, mažina skausmą ir stresą, gerina nuotaiką, sukuria malonumo pojūtį ir stiprina socialinį ryšį.

Šiame performanse sinchroniškas dainavimas ir judėjimas įgauna vidinio proceso, vykstančio atliekant šiuos veiksmus, formą. Čia erdvė tampa kūno metafora, choristai - pulsuojančia nervų sistema, o garsas - po kūną sklindančia β-endorfino molekule.

Partitūra ir choreografija įkvėpta β-endorfino molekulės struktūros bei jos judėjimo kūne.

We invite you to the vocal performance “Beta-Endorphin” at Liepkalnis Water Reservoir, where the space will be filled with the echoing voices of choir singers.

The performance explores how connection is formed and the processes that unfold in the body as people sing and move together. β-endorphin is a chemical compound produced in neurons of the central and peripheral nervous system. It is associated with mother–infant bonding, romantic relationships, and touch, but it is also released during synchronous activities such as singing, moving, or breathing together. This neurotransmitter (and hormone), once active in the body, reduces pain and stress, improves mood, creates a sense of pleasure, and strengthens social bonds.

In this performance, synchronized singing and movement take on the form of the inner processes that occur while performing these actions. Here, space becomes a metaphor for the body, singers — a pulsating nervous system, and sound — a β-endorphin molecule spreading through the body.

The score and choreography were inspired by the structure of the β-endorphin molecule and its movement through the body.
