SUMMARY projektuose figūruoja modulinės sistemos ir surenkamosios statybos principai, liudijantys studijos dėmesį statybos procesų spartinimui ir supaprastinimui. Derindama pragmatiškumą ir eksperimentavimą, SUMMARY kuria įvairius architektūrinius ir konstrukcinius sprendimus, leidžiančius optimizuoti materialiuosius bei laiko išteklius ir patį statybos procesą.

Nuo instaliacijų Venecijos bienalėje ir virtualių parodų iki stambaus mastelio projektų, tokių kaip švietimo įstaigų ir socialinio būsto pastatų – SUMMARY nagrinėja, kaip statinių elementų gamyba už statybvietės ribų gali tapti galingu įrankiu, padedančiu iš esmės permąstyti įprastus statybos metodus.

Paskaitoje „Assembly Matters“ S. Gonçalvesas pristatys SUMMARY darbus bei aptars, kaip industriniai statybos metodai gali atnešti naudos miestams, pagerinti darbo sąlygas statybvietėse ir padėti spręsti dažnai nepastebimą pastatų ekologinio pėdsako problemą. Pristatomi projektai atskleis, kaip surenkamoji statyba dera su alternatyviais architektūros kūrimo metodais, biologinės kilmės medžiagomis, taip pat su erdvių atnaujinimu bei pastatų konversija.

[ ENGLISH ] 

On 22 September, we invite you to the lecture ‘Assembly Matters’ by Portuguese architect and founder of the studio SUMMARY, Samuel Gonçalves.

SUMMARY is focused on accelerating and simplifying construction through modular systems and prefabrication. With a pragmatic yet experimental approach, the studio has developed a range of building solutions aimed at optimising time, resources, and the construction process itself.

From installations at the Venice Biennale and virtual exhibitions to large-scale projects such as educational and public housing buildings, SUMMARY explores how off-site production can be a powerful tool for rethinking the way we build.  

In this lecture, Samuel Gonçalves will present SUMMARY’s work, reflecting on how industrialised construction methods can benefit cities, improve conditions for workers, and address the often invisible environmental weight of buildings. The selected projects explore the combination of prefabrication with alternative architectural production methods, bio-based materials, space rehabilitation, and adaptive reuse.
