The Friends of the Villa Park Library invite you and your family to join us on Saturday, August 1st for a full 12 hours of storytelling, community spirit, and literacy fundraising.

Throughout the day, our amazing local volunteers—our "Cool Readers"—will be taking the stage in 30-minute shifts to read aloud their favorite books and stories. It’s the perfect summer drop-in event for kids, families, and book lovers of all ages!

--Time: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (Drop in for 30 minutes or hang out all afternoon!)
--Where: Villa Park Public Library
--Cost: Free to attend!

? What We Are Reading For
This 12-hour reading marathon is a massive push to fundraise for two incredible literacy projects right here in our community:

--?‍♂️ A Villa Park Story Stroll – Bringing an outdoor literacy experience to a local park walking path, where families can walk along and read pages of a children's book displayed together.

--? Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library – Expanding our reach to provide free, high-quality monthly books mailed directly to young children in our area to foster an early love of reading.

--? Come Listen & Cheer!
Mark yourself as "Interested" or "Going" on this event, invite your neighbors, and stop by anytime between 9 AM and 9 PM to hear some fantastic stories read aloud.
