EDC, in partnership with AustCham Lao, is hosting a 1-day training on the topic, "Practical Tools for Time Management."
The training on "Practical Tools for Time Management" helps participants to view time as a valuable resource and align its use with personal values and work goals by identifying common time wasters, applying the practical tools required to prioritize tasks and manage energy. The course also promotes wellbeing by reducing stress through better time management habits, while strengthening self-discipline and motivation to overcome procrastination and manage time effectively.
Objectives & Outcomes of the Training:
- Time, Time Values, and Time Management: Develop an understanding of time as a resource. Reflect on personal values and how they shape decisions about time use. Explore the meaning of time management in a results-driven work culture.
- Time at Work and Time Stealers: Map out a typical workday and identify common time stealers (e.g., multitasking, unnecessary meetings, digital distractions). Discuss strategies to protect focused time and reduce inefficiencies.
- Applying the Rule of Four: Learn and apply the Rule of Four to structure workdays around key priorities. Balance urgent vs. important tasks, manage energy levels, and avoid overload.
- Time Management and Wellbeing: Explore how poor time management contributes to stress and burnout. Learn time-use habits that support mental clarity, balance, and overall personal wellbeing.
