A Yoga workshop on "Pranayama Practice" and "Putting Patanjali´s Kriya Yoga into Practice"I
– Pranic Pulse Taking
– Personal Pranayama Practice Regimen
– Individual Aurvedic Consultation with Ayurvedic Pulse TakingEine
Very often, the yoga sutras of Maharishi Patanjali are looked upon as mere philosophical concepts. For example, the first sutra from chapter two about kriya yoga, is is deemed to be difficult to put into practice. Literally, tapa is translated as penance, hardship or austerity, svadhyaha as study of scriptures and isvaraprananidhan as religious rituals.
Yoga practitioners when taking the above meanings literally then find it difficult to put them into practice.
In this workshop, we will explore the Sutras related to Kriya Yoga from philosophical as well as practical point of view and then put them into practice. We will also discuss how the practice of Kriya Yoga can help us to manage our day to day stresses and in the long run avoid/manage impulsive emotional reactions (which usually lead to conflicts).
Asana, Pranayama, meditational techniques and chanting will be a part of this workshop. Yoga practiced-Yoga experienced.
Pranayamic/ Pranic pulse will be taken prior to the morning pranayama practice. At the end of the workshop based on their pulse sheet all participants will be recommended a individual Pranayama practice regimen. For participants who were recommended a practice at previous workshops with Sudhir Tiwari (or O.P. Tiwari), their progress will be checked and if needed the practice will be modified to suit the level of progress.
