Restorative Yoga with Lori

Winter Solstice is upon us. The longest and darkest nights of the year give us a chance to reflect, rest and reserve. Restorative Yoga is an amazing practice to emphasize and reiterate these benefits. Relaxing on bolsters and blankets to enhance comfort and encourage feelings of safety and support, restorative yoga helps to relax the body deeply, moving away from fight or flight and into rest and restore. Encouraging the parasympathetic nervous system to switch on, reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, increasing circulation to areas that need it the most, like the heart and lungs. Gift yourself the moment to reflect and set intentions for the coming new year, to prepare for the return of Light and ignite the fire within. We will weave in winter solstice energy to the guided meditations as we move gently into and out of restorative postures. Bring your coziest blanket, an eye pillow if you have one and dress comfortably Don’t forget to bring cash or Venmo for the Santosha Shop⭐️ A warm drink will be provided after class ☕️
