Title: “Introduction to Reward-based Training & Basic Commands"
So your dog can sit on command in your living room, but can he sit – and hold it at length – in settings outside of your home where distractions are greater? This course strives to develop your dog’s ability to focus on you and your directives. For anyone who aspires to train a dog for therapeutic purposes, or to simply enjoy a better-behaved dog and enjoy more sanity in your household with your dog, this course is for you.

 
Our Beginner Obedience Course will focus on calming the excited dog or puppy and serves as an introduction to socialization and basic manners. This course focuses on:
 
*dog/human reactivity with the goal of training the dog how he or she should behave when another dog or friendly stranger approaches
 
*curbing jumping, lunging, and pulling behaviors 
 
* training dog to better understand impulse control
 
*Proper leash handling to lead and navigate your dog’s movement
 
* addresses potty-training for puppy owners & how to productively use crate training for dogs of any age
 
*Introduction to and/or review of the following commands while also introducing distractions: Sit, Stay, Touch (come close), Make a Friend, Polite Leash Walking.
 
*Training for a crisis before a crisis happens.  Learning how to respond if your dog slips off his leash or darts out a door.

Location: Tabernacle Baptist Church, Vidalia @ 6:15-7:15 pm 
?When: the following Thursdays: 
February 26, March 5th, 12th, & 19th 
?Course tuition: $130.00 

Requirements:
? Tuition payment plus an up-to-date vaccine report emailed to beall.donna@yahoo.com to secure class spot

?Puppies should be at least 6+ months to participate. 
We offer private training sessions to younger puppies who benefit from our puppy kindergarten curriculum. Visit our website for more information @

?How Class Works:
Owner and dog will work together during each class as a duo with instructor demonstration, guidance, & feedback. 

?Homework between class meetings 

Class will be limited to 10 dog & handler participants. 
Payment may be made via Venmo or cash.

Cash payment to reserve your spot may be brought by our kennel between 7:30-9:30 am or 4-6 pm Monday - Saturday. We will need an email address and a phone number for each registered class member for communicating info. Please message/email Donna so we will know to expect you for tuition payment as we lock our kennel front door for dogs’ security.
