# Event Details - **Event Name**: Y Mind Free Mental Wellness Education Program Info session for Teens 13-18 - **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 07 Oct, 2026 at 12:00 am – Wed, 14 Oct, 2026 at 06:00 pm (-07:00) - **Event Description**: We are looking for participants aged 13-17 (teen) for our upcoming FREE Fall psych education groups for people who are interested in in-person connections, engaging, learning, moving towards a more grounded, meaningful life. Maybe life is going well, but could be better.  If they are looking for experiences that educate and connect to build their resilience, emotional literacy, and community; we are here. They can join us this fall, be guided by trained mental health professionals to learn alternative skills to cope with stress, get a free workbook and a Y membership while they are in the program. 😊 When you stop spending so much energy trying to hold the world in place by overthinking or ruminating, that energy becomes available for the things that genuinely matter to you. The shift to presence, open curiosity and using tangible tools/strategies of what I can do, and how I will do it in a way that is authentic to me. It is an opportunity to use self-awareness to “level up”. Building your tool kit to calm your overdrive. What a gift to share with family members, co-workers, friends, students, athletes, performers, etc., or even yourself. (Vancouver Y does virtual 31+ groups.) It just might change their/your life.What this is not: This is not a meditation group or group therapy. This group is not intended for people who experience high levels of stress/anxiety. Although family members of people with higher levels of anxiety and other mental health challenges could benefit (they sometimes get forgotten). This is not Cognitive Behavioural therapy. The program uses Acceptance and Commitment therapy in an evidence-based curriculum. Everyone must attend an info session and following intake to make sure the group is a good fit. If the group information session dates don’t work, we can book individual ones.
