Join us at the Thread Bar for the second installment of our Social Club Workshop Series: Beginner Knitting Class.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the foundational techniques of knitting while creating your own classic square dishcloth. Along the way, you’ll cover how to read a knitting pattern, cast on, knit, increase, decrease, and cast off — the essential skills to confidently start future projects.
The class is led by Taff Oliver, whose love of fibre arts has flourished over the past three years. Inspired by her Nanna, a lifelong knitter, Taff brings a warm and encouraging approach to teaching. Her workshops focus on creativity, connection, and the simple joy of making something with your own two hands.
Whether you’re brand new to knitting or ready to finally give it a try, this is the perfect place to begin.
All materials are provided — just bring a friend, a great attitude, and get ready to enjoy a relaxed and creative experience together.
The Thread Bar is an Uptown pop-up specializing in custom embroidery, located in Town Plaza between Meraki and Cascadia.
