Georgia-based, Paris-raised singer-songwriter Madeleine Peyroux has captivated audiences for over three decades with her soulful voice, impeccable phrasing, and timeless artistry. Often compared to Billie Holiday, Peyroux blends jazz, blues, and folk influences into a sound that is both classic and uniquely her own. With a career that began busking on the streets of Paris, Peyroux rose to international acclaim, earning multiple awards and mainstream success in 2004 when her album Careless Love sold half a million copies. Her music is celebrated for its heartfelt lyricism and understated elegance, making her one of the most iconic voices in contemporary jazz. 

Peyroux has toured and collaborated with luminaries such as k.d. lang, Meshell Ndegeocello, Marc Ribot, and Walter Becker. Her brand-new ninth album Let’s Walk (2024) deftly interweaves jazz, folk, and chamber pop, and is Peyroux’s most assured, courageous work to date. She first appeared at TD JazzFest 2005, and we now welcome back this living legend and her band live at TD JazzFest 2025’s opening night.
