Come join us in Seagirt in celebration of our most Excellent Baron and Baroness’ first anniversary of their ascension to the estate of the Baronage.  

In the most English of customs, I invite you to a day of dance, theatre and Courtly grace.  

What would a masked ball be without dancing?  Boring.  So put on your dancing shoes, fancy mask, and come join us.  Don’t worry if you don’t know how to dance, instructions will be provided.

The Seagirt Players present tales of how two constellations came into being, including Cetus the Whale.  So come and be entertained by our merry band of fools!

The Event Steward is sponsoring a poetry competition, the theme of which is “In Praise of our Baron and Baroness”.  The prize is a leather bound journal and a bottle of ink.

Court will be done by (artificial) candle light. Please bring your battery operated candles and lanterns. During the Seagirt portion of court, we will be using Viscountess Nadhezda’s creepy masks, so those with sensitivities may wish to step outside.

Site Fees: $20 plus NMS, if applicable.  Youth (18 and under) are free.

There will be a potluck!

Your ‘assigned’ aka “let’s avoid everyone bringing bread*” again category is according to your month of birth. If you’re bringing one dish per family, pick one of your assigned categories.
The barony will be providing the main dish, including a vegetarian option.
January-March: Dessert
April-June: Side dish
July-September: Non-alcoholic drinks (dancing is thirsty work!)
October-December: Appetizers
*bread can be either appetizer or side dish

We have a wacky boffer tournament sponsored by Her Excellency, Baroness Hallveig.

The tournament will be held in the style of a Pas d’Armes, with non-combatants voting for combatants in three categories: Evil Drama, Martial Prowess, and Best Death.

Weapons should be made of PEX, pool noodles (or other PE foam), and duct-tape, in the same fashion as boffer weapons for youth combat.
