SAINTS & TREES
An Art Exhibition by Miriam Sorrell
1st – 31st December 2025 • The Citadel Cultural Centre, Victoria, Gozo
I am delighted to announce my exhibition, Saints & Trees, running throughout December at the Citadel Cultural Centre in Victoria, Gozo.
Saints & Trees is an exploration of the sacred bond between spirit and nature — a world where the Divine and the earthly live side by side in harmony and radiant colour. Through mixed-media paintings, iconic figures such as Madonna Ta’ Pinu appear alongside trees that mirror their qualities: rooted, enduring, resilient, and life-giving.
My landscape and tree paintings reflect how I envisage a greener Malta and Gozo — places abundant with beauty, serenity, and reverence. They are the language of my yearning soul in colour. In their vividness and richness, the artworks evoke what we have lost . . . and what we might restore.
This collection invites viewers into a space of spiritual reflection, ecological awareness, and a renewed sense of connection with the natural world.
