This 2-Day Workshop is designed for Students of Acupuncture, Registered Acupuncturists, Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners, and Doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Addiction affects us all. The complexity and pervasiveness of addiction and mental health can be a confounding problem for Acupuncturists. Many of us lack a way to understand the issues, and therefore how to tackle treatment. This weekend workshop provides a comprehensive model that blends neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and classical Chinese philosophy. You’ll leave with practical tools, protocols, and deeper insight into supporting patients through recovery and emotional balance.
Info: Day 1 will focus on defining addiction from a western contemporary viewpoint. We will explore Acupuncture’s development and role within the current model, especially in the early stages of treatment. We will deep dive into Auricular Acupuncture, and experience the NADA protocol.
Info: On day two, we will understand things from more of an Eastern perspective, delve into the classics, and talk about "the problem with TCM". We will share treatment strategies and how to approach such a complex issue as an Acupuncturist.
