West Coast Swing (WCS) is one of the most versatile and social partner dances in the world — and it's coming to Wildwood. Rooted in the Lindy Hop and Jitterbug traditions, WCS is known for its smooth, elastic look and feel, created through a unique push-and-pull connection between partners. Unlike many dances, it's danced in a stationary slot pattern, making it practical on any size dance floor and adaptable to an enormous range of music styles, from country and blues to pop and hip-hop.

What makes West Coast Swing special is what happens between partners. The dance encourages improvisation and individual expression, so no two partnerships ever look quite the same. Over three weeks, instructors Debbie Susong and UCWDC Champion Walt Overgaard will walk you through everything you need to get comfortable on the floor:
