Children will learn the basics of fresh pasta making, from mixing and handling dough to rolling, shaping and cooking pasta. The class is designed to be interactive, practical and confidence-building, with plenty of hands-on involvement throughout.

The class is intended for families with children attending alongside a parent or guardian, with up to two children able to attend per adult. This is a shared experience where parents are encouraged to assist and cook with their children throughout the session.

Guests are guided step by step through making fresh pasta dough, learning how to work the dough correctly, rest it, roll it to the right thickness and shape it into traditional pasta styles.

Held at Lot 50 in Yankalilla, the class is relaxed, social and highly practical, with plenty of time to cook, learn and ask questions throughout the session.

Once shaped, guests learn how to cook fresh pasta correctly, including timing, water preparation and how to achieve the right texture without overcooking.

Sauce pairing principles are explained during the class, with a simple sauce prepared as a demonstration and served as a sample at the end to show how fresh pasta is traditionally finished and enjoyed.
