Instead of seeing space, Kris looked for the basic elements of design: shape, value, lines. Walker approached the building hoping to show its age, not the new, modern constructions he normally shoots. Working in black & white emphasizes the shapes and textures, as opposed to the designer’s color and material choices.Colleen Woolpert's way of looking springs from life circumstances: she was born an identical twin on Halloween, and her twin struggled with depth perception due to misaligned eyes. Woolpert is fascinated with vision—functionally and metaphorically—and has a penchant for the uncanny. As an artist, she hopes to activate doubt, double-takes, and discovery.
