Activity Description: The Art of Cooking Program is designed for children and adults with special needs seeking to develop basic cooking skills in a supportive and safe environment. This class will focus on learning to read recipes and how to properly use measuring cups and spoons. Each student will get hands-on practice in understanding the difference between measuring liquid and dry ingredients. This particular class is a step up from our basic cooking class and will help each individual expand their ability to understand and implement cooking in their lives. Participants will learn how to use a simple recipe that they can recreate at home and will be encouraged to eat vegetables in a fun and engaging way. 

This class is approximately 2 hours long. Registration is required at least 3 days in advance of class to allow us to order fresh ingredients and to ensure each student has access to all needed supplies.

Price: $65 per class, per person. Class fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

More Information: Our Art of Cooking - Covering the Basic classes are designed to teach the fundamentals of cooking, food prep, and meal planning. During each class, one of our experienced instructors walks students through the journey of gaining independence while learning the Art of Cooking.
