One of our experienced instructors will walk students through the journey of gaining independence while learning the Art of Cooking.  We approach this class as if we are teaching a life skill as a part of our Art of Life Program. This skill set will follow the student for his or her entire life. We are very deliberate in our approach to teaching. We foster independence and teach the students the fundamental skill of caring for themselves. This class encourages self-confidence and positive self-care teaches healthy choice-making and builds skills that work toward independence and a successful future. We use tools that are safe and simple to use and meals that are easy to recreate safely at home. The basics class uses tools such as electric skillets electric griddles crock pots and air friers. This allows the student to learn how to prepare food without the dangers that may happen for beginners at home.
