Julio Cachiguango es un reconocido artista kichwa de Ecuador que encuentra su inspiración en la vida cotidiana y en sus dos perspectivas vitales: sus raíces andinas y su vida en el área metropolitana de Madison, Wisconsin. La fusión de estos elementos da como resultado una perspectiva única en sus pinturas de arte nativo y urbano. Su obra se puede apreciar en Ecuador, Nueva York, Chicago y Madison, Wisconsin.

Join artist Julio Cachiguango for a two-part workshop in portrait painting! During the first class session, Julio will guide participants through the process of transferring a photo to a proportional drawing in preparation for painting. On the second night of the workshop, Julio will walk through the process from turning the sketch into a an acrylic painting. All skill levels are welcome in this encouraging, inclusive class environment. Bring a photo, a sense of curiosity, and jump into the wonderful art of portrait painting!
