# Event Details - **Event Name**: New Year's Eve Spot Shoot and Potluck - **Event Start and End Date**: Thu, 31 Dec, 2026 at 04:00 pm – Fri, 01 Jan, 2027 at 12:00 am (-06:00) - **Event Description**: When *4:00 - 5:30pm sign-in and pay. *6:00pm Official practice and then scoring. *Limited to first 34 archers pre-registering with Jeff Button (details below). On-site may be available if spots are still open. *Will consider adding an additional earlier line at 4:30 if > 34 pre-registrations. *Range will be open approximately 4:00pm for anyone wishing to show earlier to warm up. Cost $15 Potluck Format *Bring a dish(es) to pass. Any type of snacks, desserts, appetizers, etc., are all encouraged. *Freezer/refrigerator and electrical plug-ins for crock pots, etc., available if needed. *Pop machine available; may have the beverage coolers open for adult beverage purchases. *Snacking encouraged before, during and after the ranking round and eliminations. Ranking Score Format *Everyone shoots the ranking round. *No equipment or age classes. Everyone shoots 20 yards. Flights for eliminations based on peer scores. *Ranking round consists of shooting 30 arrows for score on your choice of a single or 3-spot Vegas target (yellow spot target). *Scoring 11 for little x, 10 for next ring in yellow, 9 for rest of yellow, 8, 7, etc., for rest of scoring rings outside yellow. *2 ends of practice before scoring starts. *Top/bottom target placements (double-line); no need to switch after 5 ends but can if you and the other person in your lane wish. *Elimination round will follow ranking round approximately 30 mins after ranking round is complete - Everyone gets to shoot. *No time limit per end - heckling may occur, however, if taking an unusually long time to shoot your 3 arrows :). Elimination Format *Everyone shoots the head to head elimination round. *Continue using Vegas face (new will be issued for elimination rounds). *If enough participation, archers will be split into separate flights. *1 end of practice before scoring starts. *Head to head matches will consist of shooting 2 ends. Same scoring used in the ranking round. *Highest score of the match moves on to the next round. *In the event of a tie there will be a 1 arrow, closest to center, shoot-off to determine who advances to the next round. Additional Information *All needed line calls and closest to center shoot-offs will be made by the tournament official and are final. *Based on past NYE shoots we should be wrapping up the elimination rounds by no later than 10:00pm. *Archers can hang-out and continue to shoot, snack, etc after eliminations are completed if they wish.
